Latinos and the Golden Globes

I loved TV as a kid. Heck I still do. Growing up there were not a lot of Latinos on TV. Just thinking off the top of my head I can think of Erik Estrada on CHIPs, Desi Arnaz on I Love Lucy and later Mario Lopez on Saved by the Bell. Oh and my favorite, Maria and Luis on Sesame Street.

The 2016 Golden Globe awards showed how how far we have come. America Ferrera and Eva Longoria had people talking with their award presentation skit. The movie Revenant directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu won for best direction and best picture. Gael Garcia Bernal (yummy!) won for best lead in a comedy series for Mozart in the Jungle.

This years awards were a great night for Latino actors and directors.

Here is a highlight by PopSugar.....

Oscar Isaac from Star Wars was a big winner and didn't shy away from the fact that just because it was better, does not mean that we are not quite there.

Congrats to all the big winner!
