Adding some Culture to your Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just a few days away. If you are still stressing over your menu and want to spice it up a little here are a few recipes to add some Mexican culture to your Thanksgiving meal.

Brussel Sprouts with Chorizo  : I am going to admit something here. I have never tasted a brussel sprout. It's reputation of being gross has left me less than excited about it. But this recipe adds onion and chorizo so it is sure to be a tasty side dish.

Pumpkin Empanadas : A tasty and different approach to the traditional pumpkin pie. I imagine these would be like individual pie pockets. Doesn't that sound fabulous! I bet some cool whip dipping sauce would be amazing.

Mexican Chocolate Pecan Pie : Again I have to confess I have never had pecan pie, but unlike the brussel sprouts I would like to try it! Now adding that chocolatey and cinnamony (Yes those are both words!) taste of mexican chocolate can only make it go from good to great.

Tres Leches Pumpkin Flan: It's like they mixed 3 amazing things and made one amazing dessert out of it! This is sure to be a group pleaser and became a staple of your annual meal.

If you get fancy or stick to the basics I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving meal!
