Capturing Motherhood

I am a sucker for a sentimental commercial. It goes back to those dang sad phone commercials in the 80's.  I am just a big ol' crying fool at most sappy movies and every episode of Parenthood. This new commercial by the baby sling company Boba really got the water works flowing.

In 90 seconds they have captured what it feels to become a Mom. To carry a baby for 40 weeks, to live with the anticipation, excitement and fear. To become consuming with a newfound love that stops us in our tracks and changes how we view everything. And how one day we will have to let them go into the world.

What things really push your sentimental buttons?

  1. I think I need to share this with my adult children and maybe they would appreciate me. Well, they really do appreciate me so I guess I did something right! I am now wishing for grandmotherhood, sometime in the future and I can wait, impatiently. I do miss those days when they were little, but I can tell you making my kids smile, at ages 23 and 28 still makes me melt!

    1. Thanks for the comment Joan! I loved your "wait impatiently" comment! Haha. I have an Aunt who also waited impatiently for grandkids. She would make baby blankets as not so subtle hints to her kids. I am happy to say she has 4 beautiful grandchildren now!
