Wacky Cravings & Weird Aversions

Oh the wonderful experience of pregnancy with the 1000's of side effects always chalked up to "hormones!" Some women have no side effects at all while others remember having everything: headaches, exhaustion, food cravings, aversions, excess saliva production, swollen ankles, heartburn, a strained groin, and the list goes on! Was it worth it? Abso-freakin-lutely!

Just the other day I thought about about the wacky food aversions and cravings I had while pregnant and couldn't help but laugh! Oh how I desired a greasy filet o fish sandwich while pregnant with my first. I also stocked up on Gatorade and gummy bears! For the next couple of kids the list of odd items continued! I had to have broccoli while carrying my second, but not just any broccoli, it had to be broccoli from those tiny whole in the wall Chinese restaurants. With my last, I wanted chili cheese anything! I swear that last batch of chili cheese fries probably induced labor since it was such a greasy, intense and oddly delicious mess. Simply digesting it MUST have kick started labor because contractions began the very next morning.

We asked moms to share their odd cravings and aversions with HerMamas.com:

Must-haves:

Flaming Hot Cheetos
Bean and Cheese Burritos
Tabasco/Wasabi
Egg McMuffins
Sour patch kids, sour skittles, sour anything!

Aversions:

Toothpaste (now that's scary)!
Mac N Cheese
The Smell of Coffee
The Scent of your spouse/his car/cologne (lol)

So this is a small snapshot of the 1000's of cravings and aversions, but just a glance is comical! To think of the things us pregnant
gals MUST HAVE or CAN'T STAND!
